In Stacklands you can easily get most cards, but the game doesn't tell you how to get the Dog and allied Pirates, so I'm writing this for anyone who's curious.
How to Get the Dog and Allied Pirates in Stacklands
I'll walk through how to get allied Pirates and the Dog in Stacklands.
Of these two, the 'Dog' card is tied to an achievement, so it's must-know info for anyone who wants to 100% the achievements.
How to Get the Dog
The Dog is classified under the 'Humans' category in the card encyclopedia (Pedia).
The game doesn't show you how to get the Dog. If you stack the 'Wolf' card — which appears in-game as a hostile monster — together with a 'Bone' card, it instantly turns into a 'Dog' card with no wait time.
As described, stacking the Wolf and Bone gets you the cute 'Dog' card below. The Dog eats 1 food, the same as a human Baby, and has 3 health.
Since it's in the Humans category, the Dog can do all the same tasks as a human, but it's a bit slower than a Villager.
Making Pirates Your Allies
The 'Pirate' card is a hostile monster card that appears after you go to the Island rather than the Mainland. A Pirate Ship — which plays the same role as the Strange Portal on the mainland — appears on the Island, and at that point there's a way to win them over with coins, or to turn the Pirates into allies before defeating them all.
The way to make a Pirate your ally is to place a 'Parrot' card on top of the Pirate card. If you look at the Parrot's card description, it says "Pleases Pirates" — combine the Parrot and Pirate cards and a few seconds later it becomes an allied Pirate.
It's neat and fun that you can combine a Pirate and a Parrot. :)
An allied Pirate has 5 health. Since it's in the Humans category, it can perform tasks just like other Villagers.
The two cards above aren't ones you can get directly from card packs or by exploring other locations, which is why I put this together. I hope it helps. :)
