Little Nightmares: All Achievements & Trophies Explained — Full Guide

Little Nightmares 1 was released for free as a PS Plus monthly game. Little Nightmares doesn't spell out what action unlocks each achievement, so some of you may be wondering — let's look at what you need to do to unlock them.
Little Nightmares Achievements
The base game of Little Nightmares has a total of 13 achievements: 1 Gold, 2 Silver, 10 Bronze. On the PS version, this game has no Platinum trophy.
I'll explain the achievements in Bronze, Silver, Gold order, and broadly group them into play, collection, and action types.
Chapter-Clear Achievements
| The Prison
A canary has flown its cage!
This is a trophy & achievement unlocked by clearing Chapter 1 of Little Nightmares' 5 main chapters. It's a trophy you get naturally just by playing.
| The Lair
Little lost things sometimes find their way back home.
This is a trophy & achievement unlocked by clearing Chapter 2. This one is also a trophy you naturally get just by clearing the chapter.
| The Kitchen
The chefs will miss you!
This is a trophy & achievement unlocked by clearing Chapter 3. This one too is a trophy you get just by clearing the chapter.
| The Guest Area
A little fox among hungry wolves!
This is also a trophy & achievement unlocked by clearing Chapter 4. This one too is a trophy you get just by clearing the chapter.
| The Lady's Quarters
A storm is coming. A raincoat will come in very handy.
This is the trophy you receive when you clear the final chapter, Chapter 5.
There isn't much to guide for the chapter-clear achievements, so I'll move on.
Missable Achievements (Performing Actions)
These are missable achievements. The chapter-clear achievements above are ones you get naturally by playing the game, but this type is only earned when the player performs a specific action.
| Highly Sprung
If you knew what was sleeping in there, you might jump even higher!
This is an easy achievement earned by jumping several times on the beds found in the map. If you read this post before playing, you'll likely complete it naturally while playing through the chapters.
The spot where I cleared it is a bed in Chapter 2. Of course, you can also earn it on a bed in Chapter 1. Just jump several times on top of a bed and you'll get it!
| Six's Song
So many keys, and yet none can open your cage!
This achievement is earned via the hanging piano seen in Chapter 2. You get it by playing all the keys of the piano hanging there.
For Six's Song, as you progress you'll see the piano like in the photo above — here, while crouched, press every key on the keyboard to complete it. You have to hit the black keys too, so just move along while crouched and you'll get it quickly.
| Kitchen Hand
The meal is ready, and the feast shall be splendid.
This achievement is earned by putting 3 food ingredients into a certain pot in Chapter 3. Without an explanation, this one seems very hard to get.
This is the kitchen map you see in Chapter 3. Put the food lying around into the stove/oven shown in the first photo above. There's plenty nearby — things like fish heads and carrots, which you'll find easily.
You might miss while throwing and it won't go in, but there's plenty of food in the storeroom here too, so keep that in mind.
| Elusive
Hey, you nimble little rat, how do you scurry away so well?
Some people might earn this one naturally. This achievement is completed by hiding or fleeing right before you'd be caught by enemies that attack you.
The place I recommend is Chapter 3. The chefs here are slow, so it's easier to pull off than Chapter 2. And since these enemies can't catch you if you hide under a desk, try several times to get it.
Collection Achievements
| Light Up Your Life
Not all lights can be trusted, but this one is quite safe!
This achievement is earned by lighting the candlesticks and lanterns you keep seeing as you play. There are about 25 candlesticks and lanterns in the game, and lighting 20 of them completes the achievement.
| Little Lost Things
Kindness can be the cause of failure on your journey!
This achievement is earned by hugging all the Nomes — the little creatures smaller than the protagonist Six that you often see while playing. There are 13 Nomes in the game in total, and you have to hug them all to complete the achievement.

Little destroyer, little beast, the Maw will punish you at the feast.
This achievement is earned by smashing all the statues of a woman that you see while playing. Pick up a statue with the grab button and throw it to break it.

This is the only Gold trophy in the Little Nightmares base game, and the hardest achievement.
| Hard to the Core
What's so different about you? Why are you so brave?
This is a time-limited achievement where you have to clear all chapters within 1 hour without dying even once. As long as you don't die, you can return to the last checkpoint. Played the standard way, it reportedly takes about 55 minutes.
I played without timing myself, and it really took a long time.. I think I tried several times..
